Depressed? Anxious? Confused? Unhappy?
Counselling is a way of resolving your problems. It involves talking to a trained professional to explore what is wrong and what you might need so that you can live a more rewarding and satisfying life. Psychotherapy works on the same principles but is usually longer term and works with more serious problems.
I am happy to work with a wide range of issues, including depression, relationship problems, anxiety, work-related stress, abuse, panic attacks, loss, bereavement, self-esteem problems, trauma, feeling uneasy or unsure, general unhappiness, and problems expressing or managing anger.

"Counselling was the best option for me when I was at a very difficult time in my life. Things are so much better now. Thank you so much for all your help and support."
Difficult life circumstances and other stresses can mean we lose our ability to cope with or respond to our situation. Counselling helps you to get back in touch with your own needs and supports you to clarify the most appropriate ways forward in your particular set of circumstances.
I have almost twenty years experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist, working with a wide range of issues. I graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling from the University of Strathclyde, where I trained in the person-centred approach. I work within the recognised ethical frameworks of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and COSCA, and am a registered practitioner accredited by both organisations.
